19 of Medvedev's twenty-one titles have been achieved on hardcourt
A revitalized Medvedev secured his initial championship for over two years with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the Almaty Open championship match.
The Russian, a ex- top-ranked player, has had a challenging year, achieving just one win at the major tournaments and experiencing a meltdown at the US Open.
Medvedev's inconsistency on the professional circuit - and difficulties with his serve in particular - led to him exiting of the elite rankings and eventually splitting with long-term coach Cervara.
Now training with Johansson and Goetzke, the tennis star has consistently improved in the recent weeks - culminating in a tightly fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 win over challenger Corentin Moutet.
It is his initial championship after the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hardcourt after spring of 2023.
Success also indicates the Russian has achieved 21 championships at 21 distinct events.
"For the first time I am participating in a tournament with my both daughters simultaneously, so to secure a trophy is particularly special," said tennis professional Medvedev.
"This championship is in honour of my child my daughter, because the maiden victory I won when my child her name was born was for her."
The athlete, the former major winner, had been defeated in his last six title deciders, comprising in that event earlier this year.
His defensive approach and regular reactions on court had led some to wonder if his skill to compete at the elite level was over.
Yet the player has implemented adjustments in the past month, striving to advance forward and perform assertively, reinforced by an improved service.
Medvedev recovered from a disadvantage in the initial set against the difficult opponent, securing four of the final five exchanges to take the lead.
Both players traded breaks in the following set before the Frenchman, attempting for his maiden tour championship, seized the initiative to push for a final set.
The opponent saved 4 early-game chances in a tight final set before the Russian won the break to fifteen to close out the victory.
Suitably, Medvedev secured the title with a rally at the net, with his opponent failing to handle a shot after a lengthy match.
